Royale opened the doors up for another SoFa King Friday night last weekend to welcome Matthew Koma! Everyone anticipated a spectrum of talents, including his live singing! Matthew Koma, originally from Brooklyn New York is just 29 years old and has already worked with artist such as Hardwell, Zedd, Sebastian Ingrosso, Alesso, Tiesto, Vicetone and Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic. Not to mention this kid has jumped around many genres, just proving he has a wide range of talent!
His best known song “Spectrum” which he preforms with EDM Favorite, Zedd, was a huge hit that evening as he grabbed the mic and sang with the crowd! (Check the video below or click here to see more and sing along as well!
Opening the show was local favorite Joe Bermudez. With the iconic ‘Boston Lettering” lighting up the screen behind him, he made sure to let everyone know Boston is his home and he came to party. Joe debuted his new single, Sunrise, which will be released on April 25th! The trance chill vibe of the song is easy to fall in love with and listen to over and over again. Louise Carver, a Johannesburg local, lends her folk rock voice to the track along with her haunting lyrics… “Standing on the edge of the world with everything to lose”…could you pull on my heartstrings any harder? This song played well with the rest of his set that definitely put you in the zone for dancing. Joe is great at knowing how to keep the crowd entertained and happy. Don’t for get you can hear him on the radio in Boston as well!
